Be ye not unequally yoked together with
unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and
what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with
Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement
hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as
God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive
you. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)
Two are better than one; because they have a
good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his
fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to
help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be
warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a
threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of
good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the
contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you (Titus 2:7-8)
