Chris, I love you. Today is a very special day. Long ago you were just a dream and a prayer. This day is like a dream come true, because the Lord Himself has answered that prayer for me today. I thank God for the honor of going through life with you. Thank you for being what you are to me. With our future as bright as the promises of God, I will love, honor, and cherish you for the rest of my life. I thank the Lord for the love that has bound our hearts and lives together in the spiritual fellowship of marriage as we enter upon the privileges and joys of life’s most holy relationship and begin together the adventure of building a Christian home. I promise my faithfulness, to follow you through all of life’s experiences as we follow God, that together we may grow in the likeness of Christ and our home be a praise to Him. When you first came into my life on 02-02-02 everything in my life changed from that moment on. You gave me a special gift that no one had given me before and that was the gift of love. All of my life I had waited to find love and I prayed for God to lead me to the right one and from the first time we ever talked to each other I knew without any doubt that you were the one for me. I feel so blessed that God entrusted you to me. I love you more than I can ever describe with words. I first said this to you on Feb. 17th, the day before we set our wedding date and it is even more true now than it was then: you are my life, my faith, my hope, my love, my security, my comfort, my foundation, my strength, my shelter from the storm, my beacon of light, and all of my days and tomorrows for the rest of my life. We are no longer two people living two separate lives, but two people joined together as one sharing the same life, love, commitment, devotion, and path down the long ever-changing road of life.
