Christmas
for a soldier
How our brothers and sisters cant wait for Christmas to come
While we wonder if we will get shot at on the lords birthday
Merry Christmas we wish some one would say
Instead we sit and we pray
That we don't die or have bullets shot at us on that day
We fight for freedom, for our family and our friends
So they can enjoy the holiday trends
When the fighting is done we come back home
To see that some are ungrateful of the service that we have done
Although others are very thankful of what has become
A daily life for most, don't event think about the soldiers that fight
To make a birthday, Valentines Day or even just one day bright
Family friends aunts and uncles those solders cannot see
Soldiers think about thing they want to be
Being with family and friends on the holidays
Is impossible at time because we are so far away
In different lands, trying to preserve
The freedom that we all deserve
So please this Christmas take time and think about the ones that serve
These are the people that love and peace of which they deserve
This is a question of great concern those of us who can see our family's
Please pray for a Christmas of peace and no worries.
